- Neil Roberts, Founder & Chief Product Officer, Harmoney
Neil founded Harmoney, led the business as chief executive officer over six years driving the capital path, and building culture systems and processes that are intrinsic to Harmoney’s success. Prior to that Neil was Head of Sales and Business Development at FlexiGroup, leading a team of 80 with annual sales of $200 million driving a $30 million profit. Neil founded the Direct Division of a New Zealand retail company, PRG Group, that sold personal loans to consumers and raised retail debentures to fund loans. Launched in 2001 PRF Direct, achieved $3.2 billion in personal loan applications and $1.2 billion in written personal loan volume over five years. Ultimately heading the business, Neil was responsible for over 400 staff and a balance sheet of $750 million in assets with forecasted pre-tax profit of $50 million six years later and prior to being sold to GE Money in 2006.
- Jeremy Muir, Partner, MinterEllisonRuddWatts
A specialist financial services and investment lawyer with over 20 years’ experience, Jeremy heads MinterEllisonRuddWatts’ national Banking and Financial Services division. He has expertise in managed funds, financial markets conduct law, FinTech and alternative assets including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds and property investment. In the FinTech space, Jeremy has acted as a mentor and adviser for the Kiwi FinTech Accelerator and alumnae companies. In 2019, he was commissioned by the Treasury to write a report on the global regulation of FinTech as part of its review of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and its regulatory role. He also acts for peer-to-peer lender businesses and equity crowdfunding participants.

Dean is the founder of Kernel, a digital wealth platform helping Kiwis build long-term wealth. On the back of five years as Head of Product at a large ETF provider; Dean is an expert at creating, launching and developing index funds. Prior to that, Dean worked at the NZX specialising in data products, licensing and contracts. Dean is committed to helping ambitious individuals achieve financial freedom through the creation of innovative financial products. He understands the investor challenge and is on a mission to change the financial future of millions.
- Colin Magee, Founder, Catalist Markets
Colin is the founder and CEO of Catalist and has over 20 years’ experience in financial services. Prior to founding Catalist he worked as Head of Conduct at the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) and led the teams responsible for regulating stock markets, primary and secondary market conduct, equity crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending, licensed auditors and registered audit firms. While working at the FMA, Colin heard a lot of different views about why New Zealand’s capital markets weren’t working as well as they should. SMEs were struggling to access the capital they needed to grow, and investors were struggling to access growth investments in SMEs, without sacrificing their protections. So, Colin made the decision to found Catalist, New Zealand’s stock exchange for SMEs, to help resolve some of those issues.
- Guillaume Dehan, Founder, Supergenerous
Guillaume is a positive impact advocate and the passionate Founder of Fund a Future, a Kiwi fintech and social enterprise startup. After moving with his family to New Zealand end of 2017, he graduated from Tech Future Lab in 2019 where he developed Fund a Future concept. The team was then picked up to join the Kiwi Fintech Accelerator 2019 and is on a mission to make New Zealand the most generous country in the world. Guillaume holds the Investment Management Certificate, the Finra Series 3 and BA (Hons) from both EM Normandie Business School and Leeds Beckett University. In his previous corporate life, Guillaume held various senior roles in the investment management and hedge fund industry based in London, Paris and Beijing where he focused on sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors and family offices investment portfolios.
