Canterbury Tech February Cluster Event

We hope you will join us for the first Canterbury Tech event of 2018 – one week later than usual due to Waitangi Day. The theme of the evening is Workplace Health & Culture. For this event, we will have three presentations in a single-stream format.

Presentation 1:
Getting Proactive about Workplace Culture
Mary Buckley & Marie Johnston from Culture by Design

Among the myriad of priorities start-ups and established tech companies must face, workplace culture can often be overlooked. We’ll discuss why taking a proactive approach to workplace culture from an early stage in a business’s life is so beneficial for future success, particularly in the fast-moving tech sector. We’ll also share some practical ideas for how you can begin getting proactive around your workplace culture, regardless of how new or mature your business may be.

Samantha Gadd from Humankind

Employee Experience – what it is and how to design and execute amazing experiences to attract and retain the best people. This will include the role of technology.

Presentation 3:
Developing Agile Team Members
Shary Vargo & Kirsty Allott from Vargo Lewis

What makes technical people successful in an agile environment? We will share our experience using multiple science testing and team development techniques that support the business and the people in agile work environments.
