Business, Disruption and Innovation: Finance and Blockchain

Our one-day workshops have been designed to suit professionals from every sector, and help them navigate our new world.

With primary facilitator Frances Valintine, over the course of the day attendees will explore and gain insight into the impact and speed of change, and how new innovations and emerging technologies are shaping our world. Frances will highlight uncommon connections between technologies and global and local trends, and offer a view into the convergence of computer processing, cloud storage, the collaborative economy and specific technological advances that are redefining business, the economy and our future.

Joining Frances is Sam Stubbs, Managing Director of Simplicity. Sam was most recently the CEO Of Tower Investments, a KiwiSaver default provider, prior to which he was Managing Director of Hanover Group, and before that he spent 10 years working for Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong. Sam now leads Simplicity, which is a nonprofit, 100% online investment manager with the unique feature of only charging members what the investment costs and no more. The company has made a name for itself, and is now known as the lowest fee, nonprofit KiwiSaver Scheme. Sam will share his insights, findings and understandings of the biggest challenges facing the finance industry today, and some clever solutions and innovations that are being brought to the forefront.

All insights and information are the result of hours of research and on the ground experience from our expert facilitators, who are able to convey and frame this knowledge in an engaging, relatable, immediate and actionable way.
