Accessing the UK’s “Silicon Roundabout” – creating a global business
This event is not run by an association in the Tech Alliance, but may be of interest to some members.
Join the Lord Mayor of the City of London, the British High Commissioner to New Zealand, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Xero and Laybuy as they share insights on why an increasing number of Kiwi businesses are choosing the UK for their international expansion.
The only way to achieve global scale and reach is via access to international markets, and the UK offers an attractive mix of expertise, innovation, investment, and ease of doing business. The UK is ranked 3rd in the world for tech investment after the US and China.
This event is aimed at NZ technology businesses who are keen to learn more about opportunities in the UK.
The session will include:
- An update on the UK-NZ Free Trade Agreement negotiations by British High Commissioner Laura Clarke
- A panel discussion on the speakers’ experiences of international expansion and practical tips on setting up in the UK
- Q&A with the panel
- Tips on how the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise can support your global growth
