Fintech is providing opportunities to improve financial literacy and financial capability, streamline processes and deliver exceptional customer outcomes and revolutionise the financial services sector. New innovations can increase productivity gains and digital inclusion.
To better understand the potential opportunity for New Zealand, and to help raise awareness and understanding of our current strengths, FinTechNZ is coordinating a national study with the support of government, academic and industry partners.
The initial situation analysis and design phase is aimed at gathering data on the current state including local understanding of open finance use cases and identifying opportunities and gaps. This will help inform a more intensive community engagement and economic impact analysis phase, to be completed in 2022.
As part of the situation analysis, we want to hear from the fintech organisations who will enable this transformation.
