In June ‘InsurTechNZ’ became an independent Association under the NZTech umbrella, a move which will significantly sharpen InsurTechNZ’s focus on the technology and data driven trends affecting how customers experience insurance services.
Creating InsurTechNZ means a stronger voice for our community within NZTech and the wider business community, and when engaging like minded industry groups in Australia and Singapore.
Member events and communications, including a new website, will ramp up in Q3, with the goal of increasing industry-wide collaboration.
As a newly formed Association, we look forward to ongoing collaboration both with FinTechNZ and NZTech, particularly around maximising the impact of conferences and major events. We appreciate the support of NZTech CEO Graeme Muller, the FinTechNZ leadership including General Manager James Brown, and former InsurTech Working Group Chair Jason Roberts in making this transition straight forward and pain-free.
In practical terms, current FinTechNZ members involved in the InsurTech working group will be offered the option of joining both associations or transitioning their memberships to InsurTechNZ.
