Binu Paul of PocketWise shares an update on the NZ FinTech Summit
Open Banking, Customer Engagement and Cyber Security are just a few of the topics that NZ Fintech Summit 2018 will delve into on Thursday 29 November at the Pullman, Auckland.
Open Banking is still in its infancy in New Zealand. It has notably made some inroads into the institutional lexicon and the boardroom attention span, but is largely a foreign concept to most Kiwis. A classic case of you don’t know what you don’t know.
In the UK, on the back of open banking regulations that set in earlier this year, several the largest banks, including HSBC and Barclays have started rolling out tools and features utilising the features of Open Banking regulations.
Hear a highly qualified panel debate at the Summit discussing innovative solutions for New Zealand around lending, payments, and budgeting, which incorporate the benefits of Open Banking regulations and integrate that with greatly enhanced user experiences to drive the adoption of these new platforms.
On the flip side, as more and more personal data gets distributed and aggregated in digital pools the rising risks of Cyber Security are shaping up to cripple confidence among consumers to adopt new technology solutions and software platforms. Listen to an expert panel thrash out issues to watch out for at the Summit, and discover the practical strategies you can adopt to mitigate risk.
The NZ Fintech Summit 2018 is a continuation of New Zealand’s first ever FinTech event series FINNOTEC that I have been running for some years, which is consistently a sell-out event with a 97% approval rating. This year FINNOTEC is collaborating with FinTechNZ to produce the event.
As in previous years, I have spent my time focusing on finding the most appropriate speakers to debate and discuss the most topical developments and issues in FinTech in New Zealand and globally, with a core focus on bringing together the practitioners within start-ups and innovative incumbents together.
Early bird tickets to the NZ Fintech Summit 2018 are open until 31 October. Find out more about past FINNOTEC events here.
I look forward to seeing you all there!
